Legacy’s Reflections (February 13, 2003)

By August 18, 2017Poems

As of late I have refused to write “just because”. I had to write with purpose again, and that purpose is to educate, not to entertain. For a while I got so caught up in the art of performance and the drama that comes on and off stage,  I began to feel as if I were giving all of my energy to emptiness. I had to remember words cannot be wasted, they are designed to be  used  to a purpose, a greater one than complaining or crying –but to liberate and inspire change and thought in people and situations. So now I am nobody’s stage monkey, but I am a real writer—my pen only speaks that worth speaking of, and I hope to shed insight where I may so that other artists can receive revelation as well. Shalom

Peace to All.
